Set Brief Production.
I am currently working on a project and it requires me to choose from three scenarios and use it as a basis for my own interpretation of events depicted in the scene. I have used Pulp fiction as my first reference to build my drama idea. I will explore other examples below.

Examples: Pulp Fiction / Hamburger Scene (1994)

The film contains many elements of comedy through its use of dialogue and ironic mix of humour and violence. Using funny techniques to build audience humour is a key convention because it gets more viewers. People could pass the message through 'word of mouth' to build the films population and rating. This film has an effective use of dialogue which makes it entertaining to watch.

White Chicks (2004) Opening Scene

The second video I have chosen to look at is White Chicks (2004) this is because its the first film I think about when humour comes to mind. I have chosen the opening scene to analyse because I admire the way the plot reversed when the two FBI agents thought they were arresting the right people but unfortunately they did a bad job at that. furthermore, I have chose to explore the themes of accent because it builds the humour as well as their body language. There are lots of stereotyping and slurs. 'White Chicks doesn't pay attention to its plot -- but sloppy inconsistencies like the ones here become a distraction that interferes with the ability of the audience to enjoy even the jokes that work.' (http://www.commonsensemedia.org/movie-reviews/white-chicks)

Shadrack & Abendigo (2012) Opening Scene

Comedic duo played by both actors in this video. In modern society today English language has altered in forms where people brake down the words and simplify them so its quick and simple to talk and translate a message. In this video SLANG is used to create humour, as well as the characters body language.

Some Girls: British Comedy

A comedy about a group of quirky 16-year-old girls who live on the same inner city estate. This short clip explores Holly one of the main characters and her background. Camera techniques and her use of dialogue play a huge role to comedy elements. Her Personality in the film reflects modern society today and makes you remember ones young days at school.

Top Boy: Sneak Peak

I haven chosen to look at this video due to its use of dialogue, and the way slang is used today. Also, the way challenges the stereotypes, and gives characters a sense of authority through its low angle shots. furthermore, these are common genres that the young audience are focussed on today.

Kick Ass Trailer

Twisted adventurous elements in this film that are used to emphasise humour. this film is aimed at the young market 18+. I chose to look at kick ass because the female and male actors are challenge in way which you would not expect. The young girl is more powerful than KICK ASS and it captures her as more authoritative.

My group and I have come to a conclusion with an idea for a drama piece called:
The Unexpected.

Synopsis
Two old school friends, Marco and Joshua meet up  after a very long time to catch up with life and unfinished business. They both decide to take a trip to their local shop to buy some snacks but realise they haven't bought any cash...
When things do not go to plan they find themselves in a shamble and moments later their asses are being kicked by a female super hero.
Genre
This drama will feature comdic film elements which is known  will be known for its dialogue. It will include a mix of humour and violence to keep the audience entertained.
Duration
Maximum 5 minutes  We intend to keep the extract short and simple because it will have a storyline which will be fast, snappy and captivating for our audience due to the unexpected events.
Audience
The target audience for this project will be young adults 18+ because it will contain strong language and possibly subtitles for other languages used. The plot of the story will reflect the youth and past events that youngsters may have encountered. Furthermore, this is a way in which memories are bought back. Also , the drama will challenge the stereotypes of male and female actors due to including a female character who will appear as a superhero and KICK ASS.
